Always very educating to read your articles. I enjoyed the perspective of global wars (I know it’s not the first time you wrote about it but this time you elaborated more).

Looking forward to your next article on GRC vs budget surplus.

In the meantime, what makes you think China is not yet prepared or unwilling to lead?

Thanks! China has made it clear that they are not willing to make the yuan the global reserve currency (GRC) because it would destabilize their economy. Nor are they will to play global policeman. They see the burdens these roles place and America and would prefer to sit back and profit from the situation for the time being.

Think of a peloton, the US is in the leading position and China is drafting behind them. The US is most certainly not calling China forward to take their turn to lead, they are try to push them away-the drafting is called "cheating.". And frankly China is not ready to impose a Pax Sinica on the globe or to manage the stresses of having the GRC just yet.

And when the day comes for China/BRICS to lead, they will not replicate the hierarchical American / British models but will build a more horizontal, rhizomatic order:
